Nice weather!

Just when I am about to leave the weather turns nice. It is really really nice. A cool breeze, perhaps in the high 70s... and just... beautiful. I guess all of the rain last weekend cooled the city down. I actually enjoy being outside now... and find it hard to go indoors to do my research! I think the last 8 days will be nearly impossible for fieldwork being that I will be staying in a hostel... in a room with 5 other people. So, I think those days will be pure vacation! I will try to get some interviews done but I don´t know how much work I will get done being that there will be 20 something around me at all times... intrigued by my Portuguese skills and wanting to hear about Salvador, etc. It always happens. I am trying to prepare for it now by doing double the work... or rather, as much as I can. It is hard though when the weather is so enticing. I think tomorrow I will make a point to get up really early and go lay out on the beach for a bit... it should be pretty deserted at 7am ish... we´ll see if I can actually pull myself out of bed at that time, though.

Other than the weather-- everything is the same. Not much going on... which sometimes is a blessing in itself. Oh, I did get a little sick last night-- I had a fever and I was sneezing a lot. I think I took care of that with a hearty dose of acerola juice. I am about to go get another cup now... better to remove any chance of getting sick!
